Abstract:
Necrotizing enteroco litis is one of the most serious diseases of the newborn population, characterized by high mortality rate and a significant percentage of long-term medical consequences. Preventing this pathology and effective treatment are one of the greatest challenges of modern neonatology around the world. The methods of prevention and therapeutic approaches are characterized by different efficacy, and the final result of medical management is influenced by many factors. The authors of the publication have collected the current knowledge on the discussed topic, focusing on reports of evidence-based medicine.
